Senior Network Engineer

Location: United States (Remote with up to 75% travel)

Our Client is an industry-leading provider of high-quality network and communications solutions to the hospitality industry, including wired and wireless HSIA services and conference technology. Our Client provides 24/7 support, monitoring and network services for its customer base through-out the United States and Mexico.

Role:

Senior Field Network Engineers perform presales site surveys and work with regional account managers and the operations team to develop client proposals. In addition they configure and troubleshoot VLAN configurations, perform various network deployments, engineer complex RF channel plans, and create/approve site survey network designs.

" Lead deployment engineer for wired, wireless and converged network installations.

" Train field network engineers on proper installation and site survey methodology

" Review current and new technologies for deployment of wireless Internet access

" Ability to create and configure standardized network equipment configurations on Cisco, HP, Belair, Ruckus, Bluesocket network equipment manufacturers to support numerous VLAN configurations and 802.1x authentication schemes.

" Ability to create standardized network topology documentation

" Create, review/approve Site Survey documents submitted by field engineers

" Create, review/approve Build of materials

" Support and manage internal and outsourced field network engineers during all project phases

" Will provide pre-sales and post sales network engineering support as needed

" Work with Tier III support to define a remediation scope of work for escalations

" Onsite installation and training

" Ability to travel up to 80%

Our Client Requirements:

" 4 years wireless experience

" Associates technical degree or equivalent experience

" Cisco CCNP Certification

" Strong background with Cisco 6500 Chassis based switches

" Strong understanding of Unix and Windows Server Operating Systems

" RF related experience, RF modulation and propagation.

" Strong understanding of Cisco and HP router network configurations

" Must have strong VLAN experience

" Solid team skills (team-player)

" Highly motivated, self starter

" Strong attention to detail

" Demonstrate strong troubleshooting/problem solving, planning and organizational skills

" Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
